South Glos Parent Carers launch new virtual support service

South Glos Parent Carers, the local parent carer forum, are expanding the support they offer to include virtual online support. This means that parents and carers can get the support they need, without leaving the home. Meetings provide moral support, advice or information when parents and carers are unable to physically leave the house, due to Covid-19 or caring responsibilities.

Sessions include:

  • A fortnightly evening support group, relaxed and informal, that any parent or carer of children with additional needs aged 0 - 25 years can join
  • One-to-one support via email, over the phone or by virtual face-to-face meetup using GoToMeeting
  • Virtual ‘Little Treasures’ sessions for parents and carers who normally attend the play and support group in person

You can read more about the new virtual support service in the blog post on South Glos Parent Carers website.
