Children's Occupational Therapy

Children’s Occupational Therapists work with children who need help with activities of daily living and functional tasks. We can help provide ideas, strategies and practical support to children, their families, carers and schools. The aim is to help children and young people with physical difficulties reach their full potential.

In South Gloucestershire, there is a team at Kingswood specialist children's centre and Patchway children's specialist centre.

If you have a concern about your child’s movement, or ability to undertake everyday tasks, please call our Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Helpline, which is available every Wednesday between 9am and 12pm on 07917 393196 .

You can make a referral yourself or access a referral via a health professional, such as your GP or school nurse, or a SENCO.

There is also an email address for the entire Children’s Therapy Service - ahpintegratedtherapy@cchp.nhs.uk  - which you can access if you have a query.
