Learning and development service

The council’s central learning and development service co-ordinates a wide range of training and e-learning programmes. These are available to many different organisations and workforces that provide services within South Gloucestershire.

As well as council employees, staff working in local independent, voluntary and private sector agencies in both adult care and with children and families can access these courses. Often this can be arranged at discounted rates via our “Workforce Development Offer”.

The services are also available to Schools, NHS agencies, Town and Parish Councils, agencies in the criminal justice system, and a variety of community and voluntary sector employers.

The learning and development website is where new users can request authorisation to open an individual account and then book places directly on relevant courses.

Training opportunities for Foster Carers and Adopters, and specifically for agencies in the Early Years sector, are also available via this website.
