The SEND local offer explained

The special educational needs and disability (SEND) local offer is your source of information on help and support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

The purpose of the SEND local offer is to provide information in one place, offering ongoing support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and their families across South Gloucestershire.

The SEND local offer describes what help, support and services are available in the local area.  The SEND local offer website includes information on services and support from South Gloucestershire Council, its partners and community and voluntary groups across education, health and social care.

The Children and Families Act (2014) introduced a requirement for local authorities to develop a local offer for children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) in their area.

South Gloucestershire Council are constantly updating and reviewing our local offer with our partners and we value your feedback.

We have created a short video explaining how to use the South Gloucestershire SEND Local Offer. You can view this video on the South Gloucestershire Council YouTube channel.

Send and You have also produced an Easy Read guide to the South Gloucestershire Local Offer.
