Peer support groups

Carers groups offer opportunities to meet with other carers, have a chance to chat and share issues and to find out more about the support available to you and the person you care for.

Some groups are tailored to suit carers of people with certain conditions, some are activities based, some are more suitable to those from certain communities and some are more generic. Either way, the chance to connect with people who may be going through the same thing as you can reduce feelings of isolation and give you a break from your carting role.

Many of the groups book speakers or share important news that can affect you, so the groups are a good way to connect to other services.
